September 20, 2013
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), in collaboration with county and non-profit partners, will host a community forum on youth substance abuse and prevention on Monday, October 7, 2013. The event, entitled “Time to Talk: Alcohol and other Drug Abuse Prevention Forum," will be held at Richard Montgomery High School, 250 Richard Montgomery Dr. in Rockville, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event is being coordinated by MCPS, the Montgomery County Police Department, the Montgomery County Collaboration Council, the Montgomery County Alliance to Prevent Youth Substance Abuse, and the Brave and Bold coalition. Among those expected to speak at the event are Dr. Starr and other members of the MCPS staff, as well experts in the area of substance abuse and prevention, including:
-  Dr. James M. Bjork, program officer, National Institute on Drug Abuse
