EFFECTIVE, MARCH 6, 2017, all outgoing pre-paid mail must display our NEW postage indicias!
The indicia is the OUTGOING postage imprint. See links to examples below.
Please insure that your outgoing pre-paid mail displays our NEW non-profit, first class, and pre-sorted INDICIAS:
Please discard any envelopes, rubber stamps or other mailing materials that do not display the current postage indicia.
Follow these guidelines for quick delivery through U.S. MAIL:
Only MCPS mail will be accepted. Personal mail for the U.S. Postal Service will be returned to your school.
Envelopes must have the school name as the return address. If you are preparing a mailing where you do not wish the school name to be indicated (such as interims) use this address:
Montgomery County Public Schools
850 Hungerford Drive
Rockville, Maryland 20850
Large mailings should be placed in a separate box outside the DMM 'Blue Bag' with all pieces positioned the same direction and secured with rubber bands in bundles of approximately 50 envelopes each. (See bulk/nonprofit mailing guidelines for mailings of over 200 identical pieces; See Procedures for Processing Unsealed Envelopes for non-bulk mailings).
All envelopes placed in the 'Blue Bag' must be sealed. Unsealed envelopes will be returned.

Under 200 pieces:
Schools may join our Blue Bag Postage program for easy first-class mailings. Prepare your mail, our Pony driver picks it up and we take care of the rest.
Save big by following these nonprofit (bulk) mailing guidelines for mailings of over 200 identical pieces.
How do I prepare Pony mailing?
Pony mail is the internal mail system for MCPS, and is to be used for MCPS business only. See our friendly Pony Checklist for details.
Blue Bag Postage Program
Never run out of stamps again!
Joining the Blue Bag Postage Program allows you to send U.S. Mail through the PONY. For a nominal $200.00 start-up fee (a one-time expense to cover the cost of bags and postage machine supplies), your school can enroll in a new time-saving way to send out U.S. Mail. Once enrolled, simply transfer money into a DMM postage account and place all U.S. Mail into the blue bag we provide for pick up.

DMM Blue Bag Postage Account Information:
Please use account number 01.35102.000.10.503068.000000.0000.0000.00 when transferring funds in the Financial Management System (FMS) to the Blue Bag Postage account. It is very important that you include your school name and the term 'Blue Bag Postage' in the journal entry description field to be sure that the funds are credited to the correct Blue Bag member!
