Behind-the-Scenes Heroes: Snow Cleared, Meals Served

While some sledded, lounged and basked in the warmth of their homes in the aftermath of last week’s storm, many MCPS employees were braving frigid temperatures to clear snow and scrape ice, working to ready buses to roll and schools to reopen. They plowed mountains of snow and ice from parking lots, bus stops, sidewalks and steps. Others braved the bitter cold to distribute free meals to families. At 16 pickup sites, families could receive up to three days worth of meals.
