Seven Students Win Full-Tuition QuestBridge Scholarships

Seven MCPS seniors have earned full-tuition scholarships from QuestBridge, a national nonprofit organization that connects high-achieving high school seniors with 55 colleges and universities. Nationally, 2,550 students matched with QuestBridge’s college partners. These outstanding high school seniors have an average unweighted GPA of 3.9. Eighty percent percent are the first generation in their families to attend a four-year college in the U.S.
The MCPS students, their high schools and the college scholarships they received are:
- Ryan Cruz, Albert Einstein High School, Northwestern University
- Mersy Perdomo, Northwest High School, Columbia University
- Emmanuel Getahun, Poolesville High School, Harvard College
- Matthew Jiang and Anthony Magana Sanchez, Richard Montgomery High School, Johns Hopkins University
- Carlos Silva, Walter Johnson High School, Boston College
- A seventh student opted out of sharing this information.
