“You Matter: Every Mind Counts” — MCPS Wraps Up Mental Health Awareness Week
Students, families and staff came together on Saturday, Nov. 8, for the Mental Health and Wellness Fair at Gaithersburg High School.
Participants heard from MCPS and community partners who shared valuable information about mental health supports and services and listened to a student-led forum addressing issues that impact Montgomery County youth. Attendees also joined interactive workshops and enjoyed Zumba, yoga and line dancing sessions designed to promote physical and emotional well-being.
Between exploring resources and participating in wellness activities, students engaged in meaningful conversations about mental health and resilience.
The Mental Health and Wellness Fair concluded MCPS’ Mental Health Awareness Week, which centered on the theme “You Matter: Every Mind Counts.”
