On October 13, 2025, Paint Branch High School’s Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) participated in the 250th Navy & Marine Corps Homecoming Birthday Parade Celebration in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Chief Odell Mark, USN Ret, Naval Science Instructor at Paint Branch High School shared the following about the event:

“The cadets marched with precision, pride and Panther spirit, representing our school and the NJROTC program on this historic occasion honoring 250 years of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, which were both established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1775. This event provided cadets with an outstanding opportunity to demonstrate leadership, teamwork and commitment to excellence, while connecting with the larger naval community. Participation in events like this highlights the unique experiences NJROTC offers beyond the classroom.”
