Three schools are being recognized as the healthiest in MCPS — Burtonsville and Twinbrook elementary schools, and Redland Middle School.

The MCPS schools were among 1,120 schools in 34 states and Washington, D.C., announced by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation for 2025. Supported by Del Monte Foods, Kaiser Permanente and Kohl’s Cares, this recognition honored schools for their achievements in advancing the physical, mental and social-emotional health of students, staff and families.
