MCPS Drive for Supplies Event Supports Hundreds of Families Across the County

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) hosted its annual Drive for Supplies event at Parkland Middle School. More than 1,160 people picked up supplies. Held in partnership with Wheaton-based nonprofit Learn Shop, Inc., the event empowers students to support their schools and communities by sharing new and gently used supplies for the upcoming year.

In addition to school supplies, 773 boxes of food were distributed on-site, thanks to our partners, the Upcounty Hub and the Rise N Shine.Foundation.

To bring this event to life, supplies were collected from over 110 schools and offices, which were sorted for distribution by 46 volunteers.
