A. Mario Loiederman Middle School celebrated one year of supporting local food production and climate resiliency at REACH Urban Farm with a ribbon-cutting event on May 9.

Students, staff and community members gathered to celebrate the first-year anniversary of the REACH Hub Urban Farm. REACH—Resilience, Education, Action, Climate, Habitat—is a partnership between Loiederman and the Charles Koiner Conservancy for Urban Farming. The Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust dedicated to creating and supporting neighborhood farms that provide educational opportunities, improve food security, build community connections, and promote land conservation.
