Washington Commanders Stop by Clarksburg HS Before Heading to the NFC Championship
The gym was full of energy and playoff spirit for fans eager to see the Commanders return to the NFC Championship game for the first time in more than 30 years. Students and staff showed off their dance moves in a contest with the Command Force dance team and mascot, Major Tuddy. They had an opportunity to test their football knowledge with a trivia game and pick up Commanders swag.
Due to Weather Closures, School Year Extended by One Day
The school year will be extended by one day, with the last day of school for students now scheduled as an early release day on Monday, June 16. Additionally, Friday, June 13, which was scheduled as an early release day, will now be a full instructional day for students.
Changes to COSA Process Coming This Year
The MCPS 2025-2026 Change of School Assignment (COSA) transfer season opens on Monday, Feb. 3, and closes on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The COSA process allows families to submit a request for their children to transfer out of their assigned home school.
