Coming in Fiscal Year 2026! MCPS Introduces Year-Round Pay Option for 10-month Employees

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will launch a new pay option in fiscal year (FY) 2026 to provide 10-month employees with year-round income flexibility.

With the Extended Pay option, 10-month employees will be able to set aside a portion of their paychecks during the school year to be paid to them over the summer. The amount set aside will be deposited into a separate account, which employees will be able to view and track through their Pay Statements on MCPS Hub+. Deductions will begin in September 2025, with the first summer payouts starting in summer 2026. Enrollment will be available through Hub+, where participating employees will select their contribution amount.
