The Bilingual Assessment Team (BAT) is a multilingual unit within the Department of Psychological Services that is designed to collaborate with school-based Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to assess and interpret data from K-12 English Language Learners who speak Amharic, Chinese, French, Pashto/Pushto, Persian Dari, Portuguese, Spanish, or Vietnamese and are suspected of having an educational disability or receive special education services under the Developmental Delay code and need to be re-evaluated prior to their 8th birthday.
School-based IEP teams are invited to contact the BAT Instructional Assessment Specialist and Psychologist assigned to their schools for consultation throughout the IEP process.
