NIST Summer High School Internship Program (SHIP) summer program The unpaid Summer High School Internship Program (SHIP) | NIST runs from June 22-Aug 7 as a 40 hr work week. They are looking for students who are curious and interested in scientific discovery. Students will have to write a personal statement and they have to get a letter of recommendation. Scholarship Opportunity for current 12th graders from the Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals. WiNUP’s mission is to provide networking and professional development opportunities for women within the utility industry and one of WiNUP’s main values is philanthropy – specifically around STEM. As part of our chapter’s support of this value, we annually grant a $1000 scholarship to a senior in high school who is planning to pursue a STEM related degree in college or trade school. The scholarship’s application deadline is May 1, 2026. The awardee will be contacted shortly thereafter. Please note that although WiNUP is a women’s organization, the scholarship is open to all students.
