Register for SMOB 101!

If you want to learn what the Student Member of the Board (SMOB) does, hear directly from former SMOBs about their experiences, and discover how you can get involved and possibly become a SMOB one day, then this event is perfect for you! Join us for a one-hour session hosted by the Special Elections Committee (SEC) to learn about the upcoming SMOB election, how to strengthen your voice through advocacy, and how to build your skills as an aspiring student leader!

In this event, guest speakers will include former SMOBs Arvin Kim, Sami Saeed, Praneel Suvarna, Maryland State Delegate candidate, Matthew Post, SMOB runner-up Peter Boyko, and our very own current SMOB, Anuva Maloo. These wonderful individuals will provide great insight into the importance of an SMOB in the MCPS community and opportunities for how you can get involved in student advocacy today!
