Student Service Learning Updates

All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Middle school and high school students should continue earning SSL hours towards their SSL graduation requirement by engaging in SSL opportunities during the 2025-2026 school year. Counseling: Important College Updates

The Montgomery County Public Schools Counseling Department has many updates to share about upcoming Financial Aid workshops and the upcoming Maryland Independent Colleges & Universities (MICUA) On the Spot Admissions events. Click here to read more about these important events.

Attendance Matters!

Did you know? Half days count in more ways than one! Half-days count towards your yearly absence count. If you miss a half-day of school, you also miss out on valuable instruction and valuable opportunities to interact with your peers. Plan to be PRESENT during the half-days on Monday and Tuesday, November 24th and 25th.

Community Art Contests

There are several upcoming community art competitions and showcases available for student submissions. These include the Rescue One Tree of Life AED Contest, The Matt Papirmeister Award, the Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship program, and the Women's Club of Bethesda. Special Science Opportunity

High School 3-Minute Thesis (HS3MT) is a national contest for high school students to present a research project in just 3 minutes with a single slide. This is a chance for students to share their research, get noticed, and compete for a cash prize. Read more here for contest details and prizes.
