Everything You Need to Know About School Meals and Food Support

November 5, 6:00-7:00 pm

Join us for this informative virtual workshop to learn how the Department of Food and Nutrition Services (DFNS) supports student success through nutritious, high-quality, and appealing meals that are both cost-effective and thoughtfully planned by licensed dietitians. Discover how DFNS ensures balanced meals for elementary students and provides a variety of healthy choices for middle and high school students, empowering them to make smart, satisfying food decisions every day. Presented by MCPS staff, this session is recommended for families of elementary, middle, and high school students. The presentation will also address questions about applying for Free and Reduced-price Meals (FARMS) and provide information on where families can access local food banks if needed. Come and get important information to help ensure every student and family has the nutrition and resources they need to thrive!
