Guest Speaker

April’s speaker should be another hit. Dr. Troy Boddy, a product of Montgomery County Public Schools and a graduate of Morehouse College, held positions as an elementary school teacher, a principal and a director of MCPS Equity Initiatives. In this latest role, he and his team were responsible for supporting the development practices, policies, and procedures that create access, opportunities to learn, and equitable academic and social-emotional outcomes for underserved students. He is the co-director of the Sandy Spring Slave Museum where he leads educational programs and professional learning. Co- author of the children’s book, A Proud History for Alex, a book that sparks a love of learning and shows how Black history is a beautiful tapestry woven into the fabric of our communities.
