For Menu and Reservation form click here

Our October 30 luncheon will feature the MCPSRA scholarship winners from last
year.

Additionally, Becky Logan, a former MCPS student, will be giving a presentation
about AI—otherwise known as Artificial Intelligence. She has authored A Guide
to Understanding Today’s Technology. Her presentation will help us discover
how tools like AI can make life easier, more creative and more connected. Very
exciting and informative.

MCPSRA is continuing the ToolKits project. Remember to bring your bottle caps
to the luncheon. The committee is already working on the toolkits for the next
school year.

As part of our 2025-2026 MCPSRA Service Project we are hosting two winter coat drives! As in the past, we hope you will consider participating:

1). Bring a check to the October luncheon, or mail a check by November 14th, to MCPSRA, PO Box 4367, Rockville, MD 20849. Please note “Headstart Winter Coat Project” on the memo line and a generous donor will match every $20 to maximize the purchase of winter coats for delivery to the MCPS Headstart Office!

2). Bring a new, with tags child’s winter coat sizes 10-16 to our October luncheon for us to contribute to an elementary school’s winter coat collection for distribution to specific students. We won’t reveal the name of schools in consideration of students’ privacy. You may also bring cash or check to the October luncheon, or mail a check to the address above and write “ES Winter Coat Drive” on the memo line and we’ll do the shopping for you.

More Information about Speaker - Becky Patton Logan

Becky Patton Logan is a lifelong educator with a passion for making technology approachable.  After graduating from Sherwood High School in 1983, inspired by her favorite teachers, she earned her degree in Secondary Education at the University of Maryland.  After college, she launched Software Counseling Services, where she taught more than 50 different software programs - from Windows and WordPerfect to MS Office - to thousands of adult learners across the DMV area.

After taking time off to raise her children, Becky continued to share her love of technology, even writing a book for parents called Catch Up: A Guide to Understanding Today’s Technology. Today, as a proud grandmother of four, she is thrilled to blend her two passions — teaching and technology — in new ways.

Through BPL Smart Solutions, Becky now helps people discover how emerging tools like artificial intelligence can make life easier, more creative, and more connected. Just as she once guided adults through the world of early software, she now brings that same clarity and enthusiasm to helping others navigate AI.
