ATTENTION! US Postage Rates
Are Going UP!

On January 27, 2019, the price of a stamp will increase to 55 CENTS! That means you SAVE EVEN MORE when your school takes advantage of FREE BULK RATE postage!

Let's talk POSTAGE!

When you send your mail using Bulk (non-profit) RATE, it is FREE to your school and generally travels at the same speed as regular mail! All schools are strongly encouraged to use bulk rates whenever possible.

You can use BULK RATE for mailings of 150 pieces and over.

How do you use BULK RATE ("non-profit pre-paid")?

For mailings of 150 pieces or more, just put the "SUBURBAN MD PERMIT 201" indicia (postage imprint) on your envelopes.

NOTE: MCPS got new indicias in March 2017--please make sure that your outgoing pre-paid mail displays the current INDICIA:

We'll even put the stamp on FOR YOU!

Did YOU know when you order your school envelopes from EGPS, the NON-PROFIT PRE-PAID POSTAGE INDICIA is printed at no extra charge

You can use the envelopes for regular mail too--just put your postage stamp OVER the pre-printed non-profit indicia!

Follow these guidelines when you use your school's
BLUE BAG mailbag:

Only MCPS mail will be accepted. Personal mail for the U.S. Postal Service will be returned to your school.

Envelopes must have the school name as the return address. If you are preparing a mailing where you do not wish the school name to be indicated (such as interims) use this address:

Montgomery County Public Schools
850 Hungerford Drive
Rockville, Maryland 20850

All envelopes must be sealed. Unsealed envelopes will be returned.

Large mailings should be placed in a separate box outside the DMM 'Blue Bag' with all pieces facing the same way and secured with rubber bands in bundles of approximately 50 envelopes each.
