Summer Opportunities for Gifted and Talented Students 

A list of summer opportunities for GT students throughout the state of Maryland created by MSDE.   The list includes opportunities for students in elementary, middle and high school.

Center for Talented Youth (Johns Hopkins University)

Identifies top academic students in grades two through eight and provides fun and challenging educational programs through their 10th grade year.

Destination ImagiNation

Helps kids build important, lifelong skills, such as problem solving, teamwork and divergent thinking through an extracurricular program.  

Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge

Fosters the exploration, understanding and communication of science through a contest for students in grades 5 through 8.

Math Counts

Coaching and competition program for middle school students nationwide. 

Mathematical Olympiads

Inspires students in Grades 4 to 8 to intensify their study of math through structured math club activities and competitions. 

Montgomery College Youth Programs

Provides opportunities for students to participate in a variety of educational and social settings throughout the year, including year round classes, interactive classroom programs, online classes, and summer programs focused on Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Math and more.

Montgomery County Science Fair

Provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their interest in science and their understanding of scientific methods.
