MONTGOMERY COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
A new talk show from the Board of Education.

Hosted by Board of Education President Grace Rivera-Oven, this engaging and candid conversation brings together Dr. DeRionne Pollard, President and CEO of the American Association of Community Colleges, and Karla Silvestre, At-Large Member of the Montgomery County Board of Education, to explore the impact of women in educational leadership. Together, they reflect on the unique perspectives women bring, the barriers they have overcome, and the critical role of mentorship in empowering the next generation. The discussion also highlights the significant strides women have made, and continue to make, in shaping more equitable and innovative education systems.
Hosted by Julie Yang, this EdTalk podcast discusses the importance of providing students with leadership experiences, the various ways to provide such experiences and the benefits associated with those opportunities. Guests: David Naimon, the 1st Student Member of the Board of Education for Montgomery County and Anuva Maloo, the 48th & Current Student Member of the Board of Education.
On the latest EdTalk Podcast, guests Francisca Moraga Lopez from Glenstone Museum and Joanne Lamparter from Imagination Stage join host and Board of Education President Julie Yang for a lively conversation about The Arts — exploring the value of engaging students with many art forms, making space for the arts in our schools, and ensuring access for all students to experience the arts beyond the traditional classroom.
