Student Advisory Committee Application Now Open
The Montgomery County Board of Education established the Advisory Committee on Communication and Community Engagement to serve the Board in an advisory capacity and help strengthen communication and engagement with the community on key district topics.
For the 2026–2027 school year, the Committee will focus on:
• The upcoming elementary boundary study
• Developing a communication and engagement plan for MCPS and the Board of Education
Committee members will work closely with district leaders and serve as student voices in important conversations impacting the school community.
Who can apply? Students must be enrolled full time in an MCPS school, and be a student in good standing
One-year volunteer term. At least four meetings per year, with additional meetings as needed. Natalie Zimmerman will serve as the Committee’s Board representative
