New Student Orientation

The 2026-2027 Montgomery County Public Schools Student Transition Day will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026. This is the first day for all 6^th graders and those 7^th and 8^th graders who are new to John Poole Middle School.  This full-day, non-instructional day is designed to support students entering a new school level, as well as any student new to the school due to a recent move or transfer. Our goal is to utilize this day to ensure that every student transitioning to a new learning environment begins the school year feeling connected, confident, and ready to learn. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the main office.

Monday, August 24 - **New** Parent/Caregiver Meeting Night, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  This is meeting for all 6^th grade parents and parents who are new to JPMS.  We will also have an Outdoor Education Parent meeting to share information with 6^th grade parents.
