6th  grade  Outdoor  Education

What is Outdoor Education: The Outdoor Education Program which fulfills the MSDE requirement for Environmental Literacy in 6th grade.  The purpose of this program is for students to apply their classroom knowledge into real-world experiences all while developing interpersonal skills, teamwork, and cooperation skills. By the end of the trip, students should develop a greater appreciation for the natural environment and be able to answer the question: Why is the health of our local watershed important?  At Newport Mill, students have the option of experiencing this trip through a Day-Only or Overnight program.
