MoCo CAP (Montgomery County Career Access & Preparation) is a program that helps Montgomery County Public Schools students explore career options by identifying their strengths, interests, and values using the RIASEC model. The program offers resources such as “Meet a Pro,” where local professionals share their career journeys, and the Worlds of Work (WoW) event, which connects students with potential employers. It emphasizes measurable outcomes, career competencies, and a structured timeline to track student progress and ensure meaningful engagement. At Kennedy High School, the Career Advising Coach for MoCo CAP is August Belt, who supports students in navigating these opportunities and planning for their futures.
