Screen Free Week!
Screen-Free Week is from May 1st to May 7th. Screen-Free Week is a nationwide event sponsored by Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood and celebrated by schools, families, and other civic and community groups each year. During Screen-Free Week, millions of children and adults pledge to spend seven days screen-free. Instead of watching TV or playing video games, they tend to read, play, think, create, get physically active, and spend more time with friends and family.
If your child would like to participate in Screen-Free Week, they should keep track of their screen-free activities using this activity log. At the end of the week, you and your child will take the Screen-Free Pledge by signing the promise on the back of the log. Return the completed and signed activity log to the media center. Any child who returns the completed and signed log will be invited to a special Screen-Free Week celebration (extra recess and popsicle party). Questions? Contact Jeanette Marin.
