  • Academic Electives Opportunity Fair on February 8th

    ATTENTION STUDENTS!  Take the opportunity to learn about the Advanced Placement classes that are offered here at Wheaton High School on February 8 during lunch by the Cafeteria.  The teachers and some students will be available to answer questions and share their insight.  See Ms. Salvado in the Media Center for any questions.

  • Annual HBCU College/University Fair: February 15, 2012

    The Annual Historically Black College/University (HBCU) Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15 at Blair High School from 6pm-8pm. Students in grades 9-12 and their families are invited to come learn more about HBCU's.  Several schools will be hosting on-the-spot admissions events for current 12th grade students.  Students planning to attend are encouraged to pre-register via the website prior to the event.   • Yearbook Sale!

    The 2012 Yearbook is available for the price of $60 until February 29.  After March 1st, the price will increase to $65.  Click on the above heading for an order form.

  • Free FAFSA Help for Families

     The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed in order to be considered for most forms of financial aid for college; including grants, scholarships, and loans. Help is available to Wheaton families at the following local events: Thursday, February 9, 6pm-8pm, Wheaton High School-Media Center Sunday, February 12, 2pm-4pm, Montgomery College Takoma Park Campus Click on the above heading for event details.  

  • Course Registration for 2012 - 2013

    The course registration process for school year 2012-2013 will run from February 2- 24 at Wheaton High School. Course descriptions can be found using the online High School Course Bulletin. Not all courses referenced in the course bulletin are offered at Wheaton High School. Please contact your student's Counselor with questions.

  • ACT-SO call for Participants

    The local ACT-SO competition will provide students, in grades 9-12, the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities in 26 various competition categories: sciences, humanities, performing arts, visual arts and business. ACT-SO is sponsored by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), which is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization. This year’s competition will be held on April 15, 2012 at Montgomery College, Rockville.  Click on the above heading for details.
