The course registration process for school year 2012-2013 will run from February 2 - 24 at Wheaton High School. Course descriptions can be found using the online High School Course Bulletin. Please note that: Not all courses referenced in the course bulletin are offered at Wheaton High School. New College Application Procedures for Seniors!
This year, Wheaton High School will be sending the majority of transcripts, recommendations, and other required documents electronically to colleges and universities. Students should follow the procedures listed below:

HBCU College Fair: Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 6 pm- 8 pm, at Blair High School. MCPS, along with the NAACP, is sponsoring an HBCU College Fair for students in grades 9-12 and their parents/guardians. There will also be opportunities for current seniors to get instant admissions decisions from many participating HBCU colleges and universities. Pre-registration for this event is recommended. Please visit http://hbcucf.mbhs.edu for details and to register. Students planning to do on-the-spot admissions should see their school counselor as soon as possible.

Family Connection is a web-based tool used to research colleges, perform searches using selected criteria, and build a resume. Students can see how their academic performance compares with the admissions requirements from specific colleges and how Wheaton students faired with admissions decisions. Furthermore, Family Connection can be utilized to maintain a list of colleges students are considering and link directly to the college or university’s website for additional information. Family Connection is also used as part of the college application process for 12th grade students. To access Naviance, students are assigned a login code from Ms. Strasnick in the College & Career center. Parents are also welcome to request a Naviance login from Ms. Strasnick in the College and Career Center. Without an Internet e-mail account, Family Connection is accessible using the guest password: wheaton20906

Wheaton's College and Career Center is a resource room for students and families to explore careers, colleges/universities or trade schools, apply for scholarships, and plan for life after high school.
The hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm during most days in the summer and on school days.
