MCPS offers many online learning opportunities for students during the summer, check out the complete listing and information about signing up at http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/onlinelearning/. This is a great way to make-up a class or get ahead and free us space in your schedule!
QO Days of Kindness
QO is focusing time for 15 school days on "Acts of Kindness", help make QO and our community a better place by participating. Check up the upcoming days of kindness starting on March 5th and running every school day Monday-Friday for three weeks.
March 11th - Day 5- Be kind to teachers.
March 12th - Day 6- Make time for the elderly.
March 13th - Day 7 - Random acts of kindness.
March 14th - Day 8 - Practice Eco-Awareness.
March 17th - Day 9 - Be kind to first responders and security officers.
College Information Night for Juniors
Join the Counseling Department for a guest speaker, Mr. Rich Edgar, College Admissions Officer, on Thursday, March 13th at 7pm in the Auditorium. This is a follow-up to the 11th Grade College Planning Process begun last October. Details about what will be discussed is on the Counseling Department webpage.
International Night – Friday, March 14th
Come see your friends, and some of your favorite teachers, perform songs and dances that honor their cultural heritage. Tickets are $5 and the show starts at 7pm.
Are you ready for Spring? The QOHS Booster Club's Annual Mulch Sale is scheduled for April, 5th! Orders must be placed by March 31st – Brown mulch is $5.50 per bag, Black mulch is $6.75 per bag, and spreading is $3.00 per bag. Make sure to order your mulch early and then save the date to volunteer and get your mulch!
It's back by popular demand, dine out nights to help support QO! Stop by the locations during the times listed below and mention QOHS and whichever group is sponsoring the event. This is a great way to eat a wonderful meal and give back!

Bye Bye Birdie, Spring Musical
Make sure that you plan to attend this year's Musical, it promises to be another amazing show! Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students, and children and Senior Citizens are $6. The show will go on 6 times this spring on March 28th at 7pm, March 29th at 2pm and 7pm, April 4th at 7pm, and April 5th at 2pm and 7pm.
AP Exam Information
copy of the AP registration form was distributed to students on
February 6th during first period. All students are expected to
take the AP exam(s) for every AP course(s) in which they are enrolled. Students were supposed to have returned their form and payment - February 24th to February 28th. Please do not

Join QOHS is supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation by participating in a 5K walk on April 12th. Details are in the registration form.
Our iSTEM/Engineering Club is excited to begin competing in local robotics competitions! We're looking for students interested in participating, parents and community members, especially engineers or programmers to volunteer and get involved. Or you can make a tax-deductible donation by mailing in a check or donating online. Full details are available on our details page.
International Night is Friday, March 14. Auditions will be held next week – Wed. Feb. 12 and Thursday, Feb. 13 from 2 30 4 00PM in the auditorium. Sign up for your slot in Room 332 this week at lunch.
Fields Road Elementary School’s Kindergarten Orientation will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 10 and April 11, from 9 30 – 2 30 pm.

There are many ways to order a yearbook – online at the QO School Store or by completing an order form (En Espanol)and returning it to room 241.
