Administration

Dr. Joseph Bostic, Jr - Principal
Administrators:
Mr. Matthew Martini - Assistant Principal
This year, I will be supporting the 10th-grade Class of 2029, as well as the LAD, World Languages, and DELME departments. Outside of school, I am an avid runner and triathlete who enjoys spending time with my family and our rescue dogs, as well as cheering on the Orioles and Ravens.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from Lynchburg College, where I was also a member of the lacrosse team, before earning my master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. Throughout my career, I have taught in Baltimore City and Howard County, as well as in the Mathematics Department at Towson University and through Goucher College's Prison Education Partnership program.
I am thrilled to join the Wootton community and look forward to a wonderful school year!
Mr. David O'Shell - Assistant Principal
Hey Wootton! I am so excited to be your junior class administrator. Here’s a little about me: I am a former English teacher, and I love reading, particularly literary fiction and American history. I have two young kids. I am really into playing soccer, running, and swimming. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where I studied film and literature.
Let’s do great work this year!
11th grade Administrator
Supervising the English, Social Studies, Electives, Fine Arts, and Music departments.
Ms. Misirach Seyoum - Assistant Principal
I am excited to begin my fifth year as an administrator, 2nd year at Wootton High School, where I support the Class of 2030, Mathematics Department, and PE/Health Department.
Before becoming an administrator, I served in several roles within Montgomery County Public Schools, including MCPS Central Office, Math Resource Teacher/7th Grade Team Leader, and Math Teacher. These experiences have shaped my commitment to supporting students, teachers, and families.
I was born in Ethiopia, grew up in Dallas, Texas, and have called the Silver Spring area home for the past 28 years. I live with my husband, our four children—all MCPS graduates—and our dog. Outside of school, I am an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoy spending time with my extended family, and love to read.
My leadership is grounded in student success, equity, collaboration, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. I am committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
