SAT Day: March 11, 2026

On Wednesday March 11, 2026, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will offer the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) free of charge to all Grade 11 students and with a fee for all non-Grade 11 students at each local high school. The SAT is an essential measure of each student’s readiness for college and careers that many colleges and universities use in the admissions process. Offering the SAT during the school day helps to remove barriers associated with college entrance examinations and ensures equitable access to these critical steps to college and career readiness.

Your child’s school counselor and other staff will be working individually with your student over the next several weeks to prepare for the administration of the SAT. If you have any further questions, please contact your child’s school counselor or Ms. Seyoum at Misirach_Seyoum@mcpsmd.org.
