Parent Meeting for Rising 9th grade students, January 11
January 4, 2024
Hello Parents/Caregivers of Current 8th Grade Students,
Happy New Year! I hope this message finds you healthy and well as the completion of the first half of the school year is upon us. Traditionally, secondary schools begin the articulation process in December and continue through January. Students are provided information about the vast opportunities available at Wootton High School. They will learn about courses and will request classes for the 2024-2025 school year. Your eighth grader will engage with our school counselors and hear from our Resource Teachers and coordinators about course offerings in each department and/or program.
Both students and caregivers have access to the Wootton HS Course Bulletin 2024-2025, which provides you with the most current information about Wootton’s offerings. This bulletin is, also, published on our website where it can be accessed over time. You are encouraged to devote time to review and discuss options with your student as they make decisions for next year. Remember, these decisions are important and impactful.
The staff at Wootton High School would like to invite you to a virtual Parent Articulation Night for Rising 9th Grade students on Thursday, January 11th, at 7:00 pm. Below is the webinar access information.

AOIT Application:
The application for current 8th grade students to join the Academy of Information Technology at Wootton High School has just opened! AOIT is a four-year program of study at Wootton High School where students are expected to pursue either the Computer Networking, Computer Programming or Web Design pathways. AOIT students are expected to take at least one course in a pathway each year. Each grade-level has different activities students are expected to complete or participate in, culminating in finding an internship during 11th grade that is typically completed in between the summer of their junior and senior year of high school. Not only does being a member of AOIT allow students to stand out on college applications, it is also a way to meet new friends, gain new skills and gain real world work experience!
We are currently accepting applications for current 8th grade students. If you have a passion or interest in Computer Science, we highly encourage you to apply! For more information, please consult our website.
