Morning Announcements - 2/26/19
Homework Club will meet in Room 182 from 2:30pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons this week. Students are welcome to come during these times to work on assignments, seek help or develop improved study habits.
Please see Mr. Steinbach in Room 169 if you are interested or have any questions. Regardless, feel free to stop by Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons this week.

On Tuesday, March 12, all 11th and 12th grade female students will be participating in a breast cancer awareness and prevention program presented by Suburban Hospital staff and members of our own Wootton community.
Mothers of all 11th and 12th grade females are also invited to attend this assembly with their daughters.
An opt-out form was distributed in homeroom on January 29, to be signed by a parent and returned only ifparents do not wish their daughter to attend this assembly. If you did not receive an opt-out form, or need another copy, please pick one up in the Health Room or the Main Office before March 1.

Congratulations to our Wootton Swim Team for placing 9th and 10th overall in the MPSSAA State Finals!!!
Top 10 Finishers included:
Aaron Lazar finished 4th, Cece Zhao finished 5th and Riia Zhang 10th in the 50 Freestyle
Cece Zhao fished 6th in the 100 Breaststroke
Leo Seen, Ryan Chen, David Yune and George Li finished 8th in the 200 Yard Medley Relay
George Li, Jordan Zhang, David Yune and Aaron Lazar finished 6th in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay
Rita Zhang, Cece Zhou, Laura Chen and Joy Shi finished 4th in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay
Joy Shi, Laura Chen, Rita Zhang and Cece Zhao finished 5th in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay

All students wanting to play spring sports. Make sure you register online by TODAY (Tuesday February 26). If you need to turn in a paper physical form you may do so TODAY at lunch in The Commons

If you are expecting someone to drop off something for you during the day, please check the Drop Off Table located in the main office between classes or during lunch. For safety reasons, food that hasn’t been picked up by 3 pm will be thrown out. Other items like clothing, etc. will be given to lost and found after one week.

The Patriots Ice Hockey Club won their State Quarterfinal game against Marriotts Ridge High School Monday afternoon by a score of 3-2! Nick Billinglsey, Hunter Band, and John Billinglsey each scored in the first period before the team went on the defensive, led by Daniel Tomashevsky, Jack Parsons, and Colin Brick.
Wootton will play against Carroll County in the State Semifinals on Wednesday 2/27 at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $5 cash, and we encourage all fans to wear white.
