Attention all ladies 17 years and older: Make sure you take the women’s self-defense class before you leave Wootton. Whether you are going to college or going to beach week with friends, you should know the basics to keep you safe from physical aggressors. These are tools you can use the rest of your life and may possibly even save your life. Come to the FREE seminar on Friday, April 6th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the main gym. Sign up on the Wootton website. This seminar is open to young ladies 17 years and older, as well as moms. You will not be disappointed. All female staff members are also welcome!

Dear Woottonites! It is time for our second annual “Wootton Wanders to Washington” event. We are going to wander about the National Art Gallery as our very own Jessica Coleman leads us through a wonderful expedition to the galleries. Madame Coleman will research four statues and eight paintings of French or Francophone artists. She makes this event fun and you can ask questions! This winter wanderlust is brought to you by the French Honor Society, but ALL Woottonites are warmly welcomed, including parents. The event takes place on Saturday, March 17 at 10:00 AM at the east entrance of the new National Art Gallery building. The closest metro station on the red line is JUDICIARY and on the yellow it is ARCHIVES. The tour will run about an hour and a half. Don’t forget to wear green! The gallery is has a great gift shop and is the BEST place to find a gift for Mother’s Day!
