Today we encourage you to say something nice to a person you know; it could be a classmate, a teacher, or a friend. Saying nice things to others can help them feel good about themselves, but it can also make us feel good too! Practice it right now. Turn to a neighbor and share something you like about them. It could be that you like something they are wearing, their hair, how they help others. Telling a friend you care and one positive thing about them can make someone’s day!

FITT Principle: Do you know what the FITT principle is? If you have had Functional Movement class this quarter, the answer is yes! It stands for the Frequency, Intensity, Time and Type of workouts you during any given week. Did you know that everyone should strive for 3 to 4 intense workouts a week? Did you know that kids your age should combine those 3 to 4 intense workouts with an extra 60 minutes of exercise a day! That’s a lot of movement! But we know that all that exercise leads to many positive life benefits such as better grades, better focus, better sleep, and a healthy weight for your body type. So get outside and ride your bike, take the dog for a walk, go to the gym with your parents, or just play a game with friends. It’ll do the body good! Oh yeah, and don’t forget to turn your exercise in to Mrs. Murphy in the mornings. Each 30 minutes you exercise, play outside, go to a sport practice, or walk or run with your parents, gets us 5 miles across the country! We started today in Sacramento. We need to be in Ocean City by Friday afternoon!!!!
