Basketball News: On Wednesday the boys basketball team will be playing at home vs. Clemente. The last home game against Hallie Wells was very exciting. The energy in the Wildcat Arena was unbelievable. The team is looking to win their 2nd game in a row after beating the Baker 41-38.

Come out and cheer on the Boys Basketball team as they take on the Clemente Eagles tomorrow! Our cheerleaders will also be performing at halftime so you don't want to miss this game! Tickets will be sold tomorrow morning in the lobby! No ticket, no entry!

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for free choice lunch today! Grab a pass from the media center, bring your lunch up to the media center and hang out with your friends! Play foosball, win a contest or two, play a game, or even read. Hope to see you there!

Locked in the Library: If you were LOCKED IN THE LIBRARY would you be able to escape? Sign up to be LOCKED IN THE LIBRARY with your friends on Thursday, February 12th from 2:20-4:20 PM and enjoy fun activities, pizza and snacks as you read, read, read in a chill environment. Grab a permission slip from the media center to sign up now!

Science Club: The science club will not be meeting today, I repeat, the science club will not be meeting today.

G.L.O.W.: Students who identify LGBT or are allies - this Thursday after school in Mrs. Maisch's room, a guest speaker from "Gender and Sexuality Alliance" will talk with us about starting a GSA unit at Rocky Hill. We'll also learn what other middle schools are doing.

RecXtra Cooking Club: Registration for the second session of the RecXtra Cooking Club is available. Interested students should see Mr. Smith in Room 143 for a registration form. Session 2 starts next Wednesday so pick your packet up soon.

Week of Serving: We have done a lot to celebrate Dr. King's legacy this week. We have made donations to help animals in Australia, and nearby and we have helps local families in need. Don't stop there. Think about your ideas from Tuesday and act on them.

MC Closed: The media center will be closed to students all day today. Please do not send students to the media center today.

RecXtra Champion Boxing and Fitness: RecXtra Champion Boxing and Fitness is starting at RHMS on January 28! This is a FREE, 8 week program that teaches basic boxing techniques, fundamentals, conditioning, and nutrition. Please see Mrs. Duarte for a flyer. Space is limited to the first 15 students who return the flyer to Mrs. Duarte.

Eyeglass Collection: Do you have old eye-glasses lying around at home? You can give those unwanted glasses a new life by donating them to someone else in need, throughout January. The collection box can be found in the Main Office.

Black History Art Contest: Love to draw or paint? Participate in the Black History Art Contest. Theme “Celebrating African Americans for change!” There's an interest meeting with refreshments, Thursday, January 23 in the Art room after school. Questions? See Ms. Bailey, room 374. You must pick up a form to enter the contest!

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for Thoughtful Thursday! Interested? Then come SIGN OUT A PASS from the media center before your lunch. Grab your lunch, BRING IT UP TO THE MEDIA CENTER and eat your lunch in a quiet, relaxing space.

Women's Empowerment Club: Attention! The Women's Empowerment Club meets after school today in room 158. If you need to remind your family, please call home during your lunch time.

RH Readers: Attention Rocky Hill Readers going to Clarksburg Elementary School: Please report to the main office at 9 am today with your Black Eyed Susan book ready to travel. Put all unnecessary items in your locker.

Week of Giving: Our pantry is low after winter break! Please help us replenish the food that helps neighbors by sending 1 (or more) canned good or box of cereal for our Wildcat Care Pantry tomorrow.

RPG Club: The RPG Club will meet today after school in room 143. Our next meeting will be Thursday, January 30th after school in the media center.

NJHS: There is an ALL MEMBER NJHS meeting today at lunch. All NJHS members should report to Mr. Smith's Room, room 143 during their lunch.

RecXtra Physical Computing Club: This is a reminder that the Physical Computing Club will be meeting after school today in Room 143.

Basketball News: Congratulations to the Lady Wildcats for improving their record to 3 and 0 with a win over the Baker Bulldogs, 35 to 16 yesterday. The girls were led all around by Trinity Turner with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 steals. Brie Cunanan followed up with 9 points. Lauren Ceresini had 7 points and London Turner had 6. All the ladies played hard pulling down a total of 30 rebounds and 20 steals. Way to go ladies!

 RecXtra Movie Club: RecXtra movie club has been canceled for this week, Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be back next Tuesday, January 28. See Mr. Wasser with any questions.

Humane Society Pet Food Bank Drive: The Leo Club would like you to join us by donating dog/cat food to the Humane Society: Pet Food Bank. Food treats, jackets, blankets are all being accepted this week. Drop off all items in room 258. See Mr. Stevenson with questions.

Australia Wildlife Fundraiser: Australia is currently experiencing a tremendous heatwave and catastrophic fires. The impact on wildlife is heartbreaking. Please join us as donate money to help save these animals. Donations are accepted on-line or in school. (VIDEO)

RHMS Week of Service: Dr. King stated that “Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?” How can we find ways to serve to honor Dr. King’s legacy? Participate in the RHMS WEEK OF SERVICE. Today we will write a statement about the importance of helping other.

For our Week of Giving on Wednesday you are encouraged to help the koalas! If your family is able to donate, please bring in $1 (or more) to help the koalas, kangaroos and other wildlife that have been so tragically impacted by the fires in Australia.
