Little Mermaid Jr. Auditions: Little Mermaid Jr auditions are next week. If you have not signed up for a date, please do so and make arrangements to get home. In addition, make sure you have picked up the audition song & information packet and are prepared! If you have any questions, please see Mr. Heinemann.

Green Team & Science Club: If you signed up to join the Green Team or the Science Club, please come see Ms. Evans for a permission slip by Friday of this week.

Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month: What is Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month? Each year, in the United States, National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose lineage is from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central or South America. The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period. The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of the independence of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Additionally, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and 18, respectively.

Intramurals: Our first intramural of the year will begin THIS THURSDAY! Dodgeball intramurals will be held after school Tues. & Thurs. beginning THURSDAY, Sept 20th. All students are welcomed! All you need is an intramural permission slip turned in to Ms. Brouillard. Need one? See your PE teacher today!!

Archery Intramurals: Archery Intramurals will begin Tues, Oct 2nd afterschool in the main gym. The first week will be open to all 6th graders & beginner shooters ONLY! Any students interested in participating in Archery Intramurals need to pick up an intramural permission slip from the Girls PE office.

Cross Country: Attention Cross Country Team members. All athletes should bring their cell phones, Student Assignment Books and a pencil to the start of practice this afternoon.

Leo Club: Students who are interested in the Leo Club should check the RHMS web-site for application directions. The deadline for applications is Friday.

World Clean Up Day: This Saturday is World Cleanup Day as part of our efforts to END PLASTIC POLLUTION. Millions of people worldwide will take part in removing plastic and other types of waste from the world’s coastlines, rivers, parks, cities and trails. Please find some time to help our environment and participate.

Newspaper Club: We are looking for students to join the Newspaper Club for this year. We produce 3 issues of the Wildcat Roar and cover a wide range of topics in each issue. Please stop by room 167 to pick-up an application or see Mr. Conley with any questions.

SGA: The Student Government Association is looking or more members for this upcoming year. Stop by room 167 and pick up an application or see Mr. Conley with any questions. The SGA sponsors the Spring Dance, Pennies for Patients, Candygrams and food drives.

TV Crew: Join the fun! The TV crew is taking applications for the news show. The TV Show is usually on Monday morning. If you have a way to get to school by 7:45 and would like to be part of the crew – get an application from Ms. Conley in room 211. Return it to Ms. Conley in room 211 by Wednesday, September 12th. We will have equipment training a 7:45 a.m.to 8:15 a.m. Sept. 13th thru 21st. Attendance is mandatory.

Softball & Cross Country Tryouts: Attention 7th & 8th graders: Tryouts for Softball & Cross Country begin NEXT TUESDAY, Sept. 11th! Make sure you have your parent permission slip and an up-to-date physical on file with Ms. Brouillard by the end of this week!! See Ms. Brouillard if you have questions or need paperwork TODAY!!

Leo Club: The Leo Club would like to announce that membership for the 2018-2019 school year is open. Interested students should complete the on-line registration on the RHMS website. Click on the Afterschool tab, followed by Clubs; lastly click on Leo's Club. Deadline for applications is Sept. 21st.
