RecXtra Book Wars Members: RecXtra Book Wars Members: Our next meeting is today after school in the media center. See you there!

RecXtra RPG Club: The RecXtra RPG Club is meeting Thursday, December 12th after school in the media center. See you there!

RecXtra Memories Club: RecExtra memories club will meet on Thursday 12/12 in room 376 with Ms. Belman.

MC Open for Lunch: The media center is open for free choice lunch today! Grab a pass from the media center, bring your lunch up to the media center and hang out with your friends! Play foosball, win a contest or two, play a game, or even read. Hope to see you there!

Minority Scholars Club: The Minority Scholars Club will be meeting today in Ms. Bailey's room which is room number 374. All are welcomed.

Canned Food Drive: Please support our weeks of Growing Stronger Together and Week of Giving Dec 9 -13th. We are collecting canned foods for the Wildcats Care pantry and the Damascus Lions who will provide holiday food baskets to families in the Clarksburg/Damascus area. This is also a competition between each grade.

Canned Food Drive Update: After the first day of the canned food drive 6th grade is in the lead with 165 items, 7th grade has 106 and 8th grade is holding steady at 0.

Week of Giving: Our Growing Stronger Together “Week of Giving”, is here! We will provide opportunities for our Rocky Hill families to demonstrate neighbors helping neighbors to help strengthen our Clarksburg/Germantown communities.

All this week we will be collecting for local organizations. All items will be collected in the main hallway in the morning unless otherwise noted.

  • RH Wildcats Care – Non-perishable foods, personal hygiene products, gift cards to local grocery stores, & cash donations.
  • Power of Sam Toy Drive – a new unwrapped toy and/or a card for the children at Children’s Hospital in Washington DC. Sam was one of our Rocky Hill students who passed away a few years ago from a brain tumor.
  • New hats, gloves, socks for students at Daly ES.
  • The RH Leos/NJHS/SGA/Damascus Lions – canned food & non-perishable food items. Holiday Food Baskets will be distributed to local families in need throughout the holiday season by the Damascus Lions. All items will be collected in World Studies classes.

Today we are asking our students to show kindness to someone in their family or in our Clarksburg communities. Share with your elbow partner a way that you will show kindness to a family member or someone in our Clarksburg community. A random act of kindness goes a long way!!

Cheerleading Intramurals: Calling all Cheerleaders!! Cheerleading intramurals will be offered to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who want to meet each Tuesday and Thursday beginning December 10th to learn and practice cheers for perform at the basketball games on January 29th and February 4th. Students interested in participating should turn in an Intramural permission slip to Ms. Brouillard and plan to attend the interest meeting on Tuesday, December 10th. Got questions? See Ms. Brouillard or Ms. Prather!

NJHS: There will be an NJHS officers meeting during lunch today, Thursday December 5 in Room 143. All NJHS officers should plan on attending.

Donations Needed for MC Upcycling Activities: The media center is in need of old wrapping paper, scrapbooking paper and magazines for December activities in the media center. If you have any wrapping or scrapbooking paper or old magazines to donate, please bring them to the media center. Thanks!

Model UN: Attention all Model UN members: There will be a meeting on Wednesday, after school in room 358. Please see Mrs. Fong if you're unable to attend. Also, remember to return your permission slips for our trip to New York. See you there!

Annual Canned Food Drive: Attention RHMS students and staff: Next week we begin our Annual Can Food Drive. All donations will be collected in the morning by your World Studies teacher. Grade levels will again be competing against one another for the coveted "Golden Can".

Canned Food Drive Golden Can Champion: Our current 7th graders were last year's Golden Can Champions! Will the 7th grade have the desire and drive to win again? Will eighth grade dominate the Can Food drive, like they have in past years? Can the 6th grade rise up to become champions? It all starts Monday.

MC Contests of the Month Winners: Congratulations to Tanmay Jannapally, Sophie Huang, Rhaja Allen, Owen Barnes, Jared Tovar and Abdul Turay-November's monthly contest winners! Please come up to the media center to claim your prize! Didn’t win this month-that’s okay-there’s always December's contests!

Lady Wildcats Basketball: The Lady Wildcat Basketball team will begin practicing tomorrow, December 3, starting at 3:10 sharp. Do not be late and be ready to work hard!
