  • Week of Giving December 9 – 13

    During our Growing Stronger Together “Week of Giving”, December 9 – 13, we will provide opportunities for our Rocky Hill families to demonstrate neighbors helping neighbors to help strengthen our community. Click for more detailed info & access to flyer.

  • Cheerleading Intramurals

    Cheerleading intramurals will be offered to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who want to meet each Tuesday and Thursday beginning on Tuesday, December 10th to learn and practice cheers for perform at the Boys Basketball game on January 29th and the Girls Basketball game on February 4th.   • SmarTrip Card for Free Rides

    Effective July 1, 2019, all Montgomery County youths ages 18 and under (older if still in high school) ride FREE on Ride On buses all the time. Effective October 1, 2019, all student riders must use the Youth Cruiser SmarTrip® Card to ride for free. Rocky Hill Middle School has received a limited number of Ride On Youth Cruiser SmarTrip cards. In order for students to obtain a card, students need to complete a registration form in the Rocky Hill MS finance office. Click for more info & flyer.

  • Winter Weather Update

    Snow is in the forecast…. We want all of our Wildcats AND their families to be safe in the winter weather. We know that our winter weather emergencies cause disruptions in school operations, including the closure of school, a delayed opening, or an early dismissal. Please make arrangements now for what your family plans will be in the event of a 2 hour delay and/or an early dismissal & talk with your child about your family plan. Click for more info.

  • Outdoor Ed Parent Information Meeting (Dec. 9th @ 6:30 PM)

    This March, your child will participate in an exciting MCPS program: Outdoor Education at Camp Letts, near Edgewater, MD. This three-day, two-night trip is an important and vital part of the sixth-grade curriculum and planning is already underway. Rocky Hill sixth-graders will be attending camp during one of the following sessions: March 2 - 4, or March 4 - 6, 2020.There will be an important parent information meeting on Monday, December 9th at 6:30 pm in the Rocky Hill dining hall. During this meeting Mrs. Quinn will review the curriculum and answer any questions. Click for more info.

  • Required Chaperone Fingerprinting for Chaperones available 12/9 at RH

    Any parent that wishes to chaperone a field trip that extends beyond the school day, MUST be fingerprinted. This includes Outdoor Education, Chorus & Band trips, Model UN etc. The fingerprinting is good for 3 years and accepted in any MCPS school. To honor your time, American Identity Solutions (AIS) will be at Rocky Hill in the cafeteria from 6pm - 8pm on Monday, December 9th. Click for more detailed info.
