Student Transition Day - Monday, August 25, 2025
Dear NEW to Rocky Hill Families and Caregivers,
Welcome to Rocky Hill Middle School! Home of the Wildcats and Some of the Best and Brightest Students in the World! We are honored to welcome all new families—especially incoming 6th graders and any new to the school 7th or 8th grade students—to the Wildcat Nation. We are eager to support your children as they settle into this exciting next chapter of middle school. Bus service will be provided. Bag lunches will also be available, however, students can also pack a lunch.
To help new students get familiar with our school, we invite them to join Student Transition Day on August 25, 2025 (7:50 AM–3:00 PM). During this day, students will:
- Practice moving through your schedule
- Meet teachers and classmates
- Tour the school
- Learn how to open lockers
- And start building new friendships!
We will continue the Rocky Hill tradition of dedicating the transition day to only welcoming our new students. Parents and caregivers will have an in-depth orientation during our Wildcat Welcome and Back to School event. This year, our Wildcat Welcome and Back to School event will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5:30-8:30pm.
