Robert Frost Yearbooks have been distributed to students.  We have a few left and we are selling them at SOAR for $50.00.  Students please heed the five expectations we have outlined for the yearbook.

Florida STEM Trip - Parent Meeting

Are you interested in going on the March 2020 Florida STEM Trip?Come to the parent meeting on May 9, 2019 @ 6 pm in room 205. 

Internet Safety & Cyber Bullying Presentation

Mr. Steve Chaikin was our guest speaker at the Principal-Parent Breakfast on Friday April 12, 2019.  Mr. Chaikin gave an important presentation on internet safety, cyber bulling, and new laws that protect our students.  To view Mr. Chaikin's presentation, please click this link.

Choose Respect Montgomery 209 Conference

Attention Students, MCPS is working with the Montgomery County Family Justice Center Foundation to host the Choose Respect Montgomery 2019 Conference.  The event will be held at Richard Montgomery High School on Sunday, April 7, 2019, from 12:30 p.m.-4:30p.m.

PARCC Testing Schedule for Robert Frost Middle School April 30-May 2

The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) test will occur the three days of Tuesday, April 30; Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2. The assessment consists of three units for English Language Arts (ELA) and three units for Math. Students will take one unit of the ELA test each day in the morning and one unit of the Math test each day in the afternoon. In between the two tests, students will have lunch, an outside break and an inside break. There will be no regular classes on these three days and no homework will be assigned. The performance assessment gathered from the administration of PARCC provides schools with valuable data to support our students to become career and college ready. It is very important for students to be well rested, nourished and present for testing. Please make every effort to not schedule appointments and/or trips on these three days of testing. If you have any questions, please contact the main office. . 

Robert Frost Middle School's Therapy Dog Visits

The Counseling Department at Robert Frost Middle School is happy to announce they will be periodically hosting therapy dog visits.  The purpose of the therapy dog visits will be to provide nonjudgemental listening and love for students in an academic setting.  The dogs are vaccinated, trained, and registered with TDI (Therapy Dogs International). The dogs will be accompanied by the owners when visiting Frost.  If you have any questions, call Ms. Hallas 301-279-3965.  We do have a form if you choose not to have your child participate. 

Wootton High School Summer Institute for rising 9th graders

Wootton High School is offering a Summer Institute Program this summer for all 8th grade students rising to 9th grade next year. The mission of Wootton's Institute is to provide every student with the opportunity to continue their education and improve upon their academic skills throughout the summer in order to prepare them for advanced educational opportunities offered at Wootton and at the collegiate level.  The registration deadline is May 1, 2019.

Hena Khan @ RFMS - Book Pre Orders Only

The Maryland Integrated Science Assessment 2019

The Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA) will occur Tuesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 13, 2019.  The assessment consists of four units and 8th grade students will participate in testing two units per day.  The performance assessment gathered from the administration of MISA provides schools with valuable data to support our students to become career and college ready.

Robert Frost Government Workers Appreciation Dinner was a huge success!

"Thank You".  The Government Workers Appreciation Dinner was a huge success!  Because of the generosity of so many, we shared a delicious meal with nearly 100 parents (and grandparents), children and volunteers on January 31, 2019.  Additionally, we were able to support a women's shelter in Rockville.

Exciting News....Robert Frost Middle Schoool's Dessert Theater production for 2019 will be The Seuss Odyssey

Robert Frost Middle School is partnering with Round House Theatre to bring you The Seuss Odyssey this May 10th and 11th.  Auditions for the Cast and Interviews for Crew will be Tuesday, February 12 and Thursday, February 14.  Those interested in being in the cast must attend both days of auditions.  Crew must attend one day.  All students will be given a detailed information sheet at the auditions.

Powerpoint presented at Principal/Parent Breakfast by J. Darius Greene

On January 11, 2019, we had our 3rd Principal/Parent Breakfast at Robert Frost Middle School.  Our special guest speaker was J. Darius Greene, the Assistant Director of Arts and Humanities at University of Maryland.  Mr. Greene gave an outstanding presentation on "What Parents Can Do To Prepare Their Middle School Students For College".  We have made the Power Point presentation available for your viewing.
