Montgomery County Public Schools Outdoor Environmental Education Programs Grade 6 Open House

MCPS Outdoor Environmental Education Programs for the Grade 6 Residential Program will have an Open House at the Lathrop E. Smith Environmental Education Center, 5110 Meadowside Lane Rockville, MD.  Thursday, September 5, 2019, 5:00-8:00p.m.  There will be a presentation to introduce the Outdoor Education curriculum and tours of the center.

Information for the upcoming school year 2019-2020 @ Robert Frost Middle School

We are very excited and are looking forward to the new school year 2019-2020.  We hope everyone is enjoying your summer and experiencing new adventures, and relaxing with family.  We are listing information that should be useful for the new school year.  We hope everyone enjoys the rest of the summer, and we will look forward to seeing everyone on the first day of school, September 3, 2019.  Our Back To School Night is Thursday, September 26, 2019, 7:00 p.m.  Included here are school supplies, MCPS calendar, bus lists, PTA membership forms, attendance policy, and Principal/Parent Breakfast schedule.

Orientation Information for Students New to Frost

On Thursday August 29th, 2018, there will be an orientation for all our incoming sixth graders, as well as seventh and eighth grade students who are new to Frost.  This Orientation is only for new students to Frost.  The orientation begins at 8:15am and students will be dismissed at 12:00pm.  MCPS buses will provide transportation.  Students taking the bus should be at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.  We encourage students to attend this orientation as they will have an opportunity to meet their teachers, walk through a tentative class schedule, obtain a lock for their hall locker, and become familiar with Frost Middle School.

Robert Frost Summer Math Packets

Our Summer Math Packets are available here on the website for your convenience.  The packets are also available in the counseling office if you would prefer to stop by the school and pick a packet up at the school.  If you are unsure of which packet to complete, call the office and we will direct you to your counselor and they will help you in determining which packet to work on.  We hope everyone has a great summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at Frost this September.

2019 Updated Summer School Bus Routes

We are looking forward to a very exciting and successful summer school program and we now have our updated Summer School Bus Routes for students and parents to reference.  We will see you soon.

Yearbook Expectations

Robert Frost Yearbooks have been distributed to students.  We have a few left and we are selling them at SOAR for $50.00.  Students please heed the five expectations we have outlined for the yearbook.

Florida STEM Trip - Parent Meeting

Are you interested in going on the March 2020 Florida STEM Trip?Come to the parent meeting on May 9, 2019 @ 6 pm in room 205. 

Internet Safety & Cyber Bullying Presentation

Mr. Steve Chaikin was our guest speaker at the Principal-Parent Breakfast on Friday April 12, 2019.  Mr. Chaikin gave an important presentation on internet safety, cyber bulling, and new laws that protect our students.  To view Mr. Chaikin's presentation, please click this link.

Robert Frost Middle School's Therapy Dog Visits

The Counseling Department at Robert Frost Middle School is happy to announce they will be periodically hosting therapy dog visits.  The purpose of the therapy dog visits will be to provide nonjudgemental listening and love for students in an academic setting.  The dogs are vaccinated, trained, and registered with TDI (Therapy Dogs International). The dogs will be accompanied by the owners when visiting Frost.  If you have any questions, call Ms. Hallas 301-279-3965.  We do have a form if you choose not to have your child participate. 

Robert Frost Government Workers Appreciation Dinner was a huge success!

"Thank You".  The Government Workers Appreciation Dinner was a huge success!  Because of the generosity of so many, we shared a delicious meal with nearly 100 parents (and grandparents), children and volunteers on January 31, 2019.  Additionally, we were able to support a women's shelter in Rockville.

Powerpoint presented at Principal/Parent Breakfast by J. Darius Greene

On January 11, 2019, we had our 3rd Principal/Parent Breakfast at Robert Frost Middle School.  Our special guest speaker was J. Darius Greene, the Assistant Director of Arts and Humanities at University of Maryland.  Mr. Greene gave an outstanding presentation on "What Parents Can Do To Prepare Their Middle School Students For College".  We have made the Power Point presentation available for your viewing.
