MCPS Radon Testing At Robert Frost Middle School

As part of the environmental safety program, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) periodically tests for radon levels in our schools. The most recent tests results from MCPS Indoor Air Quality Unity indicate that one or more rooms tested had radon levels at or slightly above the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended levels.  As a result, a radon mitigation professional will design and install mitigation measures that will reduce the radon levels.  The recent test results do not indicate that there is an immediate safety hazard.  Students were given a handout that provides more details and the information is available here on our website.
