World Languages Scholarship Information

The Jones / Plasma / Greenblatt World Languages Scholarship is presented each year to one outstanding junior at a public high school in Montgomery County, MD. The award is earned by a student with a high grade point average, demonstrated proficiency in a world language learned at school, and the ability to overcome adversity, as described in an essay. The winner is chosen after recommendations by staff members at the school level and evaluation by the Plasma Fellows, a group of scientists who believe in the importance of relating to the wider world beyond our borders.
