Clarksburg High School Students, Staff, and Families,
We kick off the 4th marking period this Tuesday, April 11th. Our CHS PTSA have partnered with S.O.U.L and MADD to bring an important message regarding the dangers of substance abuse. CHS will have a student assembly this Friday about this important topic. Take a look at the Junior/Senior Prom Information, and scholarship opportunities from our College & Career Center. The deadline for permission slips and payment for the NMAAHC Field Trip is Tuesday, April 11. Students planning to attend the trip should bring their payments to Mr. Hunt in Portable 6.
CHS is excited to offer several *NEW* Social Studies electives and is looking to increase enrollment!
Please complete THIS FORM to register for one of the following courses that are new to our Social Studies curriculum in the last few years.
- AP African American Studies (Full-year AP, New for 2023!)
- African American History (1-semester elective)
- Asian/Pacific Islander/Desi/American Studies (1-semester elective, new in 2022)
- LGBTQ+ Studies (1-semester elective, new in 2022)
Seats in these classes are limited, and students will be added on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reach out to your counselor with questions!

CHS encourages 11th grade students to attend the NACAC College Fair. MCPS and the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) will hold an annual junior college fair on Wednesday, April 19th, beginning at 10:00 am. There will be over 300 colleges in attendance. A $5.00 fee is required to attend. The permission forms can be found here. Students are not permitted to drive themselves to the college fair. Parents/guardians who wish to attend the fair with their students should attend the evening session on April 18th. During the evening, there will be two workshops on Financing College and Simple Steps to Applying to College. Register here. Here is the information about the NACAC Fair.
