Good evening, Northwest Families, this is Jimmy D’Andrea, principal of Northwest High School, with your Sunday evening message. There will be a PTSA meeting this Tuesday, April 17, at 7:00 pm in the media center. The meeting will include a presentation on school safety and security, as well as overviews of two programs in which all students will participate this spring: the “Signs of Suicide Prevention Program” and the “Every 15 Minutes Program.”  The “Signs of Suicide Prevention Program” helps students identify the signs and symptoms of depression, suicide, and self-injury in themselves and their peers. The “Every 15 Minutes Program” challenges students to think about drinking, texting while driving, personal safety, and the responsibility of making mature decisions when lives are involved.
