Welcome to our Summer 2019 Reading Program page!
Please enjoy reading this summer. This is not a requirement, but we strongly encourage you to read for your enjoyment and to expand your understanding of language and writing. Reading is fun and can give you new ideas and information about the world and about people.
For children who will be in grades K, 1 or 2 in Fall, 2019. Please read 10 books (picture, chapter, or non-fiction) over the summer. Discuss these questions with your parents. Complete this form, the Reading Chart below, and return it to your teacher in the fall, by Sept. 13, 2019.

For children who will be in grades 3, 4, or 5 in Fall, 2019. Please read at least 3 chapter books from the suggested book list. Discuss the details with your parents and respond to comprehension questions using the higher order thinking skills document. Complete this form, the Reading Chart below, and return it to your teacher in the fall. Due date: Friday, Sept. 13, 2019
