October 31 2018 Harvest Festival: costume parade and party 
Dear Woodlin Families, 

On Wednesday, October 31, 2018 Woodlin Elementary students will participate in our Harvest Festival. The highlight of our Harvest Festival is our Halloween costume parade followed by classroom parties. If for any reason, you do not wish for your child to participate in the Halloween parade and/or classroom parties, you can elect to have your child enjoy an alternate Harvest Festival activity in the media center. If you have any questions, please contact administration. 


To help ensure for a great time for all students, their safety and security throughout the event, and an orderly dismissal please refer to the schedule below: 
1:45 p.m. All Parents/Guardians are invited to gather along the parade route in the rear of the building to watch the parade. 
2:00 p.m. Parade begins!!! The parade route will be marked and begins at the doors across from the portables, and ends at the doors by the grade 4 hallway. 
2:30 p.m. Classroom parties begin. Any adult attending classroom parties must be signed in in the main office. 
3:00 p.m. All parties end. 
3:05 p.m. All guest asked to sign out in the main office and exit the building as students and staff prepare for dismissal. 
 

 

Costumes 
Please be sure to send students with costumes that are easy to put on over top of clothing. For families with students in our primary grades (K,1, and 2) please coordinate with your child’s teacher to determine arrival times to assist with costumes. If your child’s costume includes a sword, wand, or similar accessory, it should be left home on Tuesday. Student’s will not be permitted to carry accessories in the parade or classroom 
 
Student Sign Out 
If you are planning an early dismissal, please sign your child out on the sign out sheet available in your child’s classroom. All other students will follow normal dismissal procedures. Refreshments All Items must be store brought and prepackaged. In addition, please do not bring any peanut products. If you drop items off in the main office they will be delivered to the classrooms at a time that will have the least disruption to instruction.
