October 16, 2026
Dear Woodlin Families,
On Friday, October 30, 2026, Woodlin Elementary students will participate in our Harvest Festival. The highlight of our Harvest Festival is our Costume Parade. If for any reason you do not want your child to participate in the costume parade and/or classroom activities, you can contact your child’s teacher and elect to have your child enjoy an alternate Harvest Festival activity in the media center. If you have any questions, please contact Woodlin administration. Unfortunately, there will not be a rain makeup date for the parade.
Please refer to the schedule below to ensure a great time for all students, support their safety and security throughout the event, as well as an orderly dismissal:
1:45 p.m.-2:00 p.m. All Parents/Guardians are invited to gather along the parade route in the front of the school. The parking lot will be blocked off by cones at 1:30 p.m. This is one of our larger community events, please exercise patience, plan accordingly, as, and always be great guest in our Woodlin neighborhood community. 2:00 p.m.-2:05 p.m. Parade begins!!! The parade route will be marked and begins with our Kindergarteners at the school’s main entrance. Each homeroom class will make two laps around the parade route. The parade ends at the Brookville Road entrance doors. 2:25 p.m. Classroom activities begin. All classroom activities will be supported by existing Woodlin staff and scheduled room parents in each class. 2:55 p.m. All Harvest Festival activities end.
Costumes Students arrive at school in their normal school clothes and will be directed by their homeroom teacher when to change into costume. Please be sure to send students with costumes that are easy to put on over top of clothing. If your child’s costume includes a sword, wand, or similar accessory, those items should be left home on Friday. Students will not be permitted to carry accessories in the parade or classroom.
Student Sign Out If you are planning an early dismissal, please sign your child out in the Main Office after students have completed the parade route and are back in their classrooms. All other students will follow normal dismissal procedures.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
