    Meets: TV Studio At the beginning of 2nd period Daily

     

    Purpose: Walter Johnson's Television Production club is responsible for producing and broadcasting the school's morning news show, "The Daily Lineup," that includes announcements from various clubs, sponsors, coaches and teachers, to inform students about what is going on in the school. The club also films and broadcasts events such as assemblies, sports, the Homecoming move, and interviews.

    Submitting Morning Announcements

    Announcement guidelines:

    • All announcements must be submitted NO LATER THAN 3:00 p.m. of the day prior to the announcement start date.
    • Text limited to 32 words.
    • PLEASE make sure that you enter the correct start & end dates for your announcements.
    • The text as entered on this form is what will be used for your announcement in both the TV show and the email to staff and parents, so it is imperative that you use good grammar and avoid typos.
    • Please include phonetic spelling, in parenthesis, of any names where pronunciation is not obvious. These will be removed before the announcement email is sent to staff and parents.
    • If you are submitting a multi-day announcement, please word it in such a way that it does not have to be changed daily. For example, you should include dates in the announcement text rather than a number of days: "only 3 more days to buy tickets" would be an inaccurate statement the 2nd day your announcement is broadcast. If instead, you write "you only have until <deadline date> to buy tickets" then the announcement will be correct each day it is broadcast.
