Vision

Mission

The mission of Rockville High School is to prepare students for the challenges and expectations of careers and college readiness by the implementation of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) through English Language Arts and Literacy and (STEM) science, technology, engineering and mathematics content.

January 5-9, 2026

  • Information on departmental course offerings shared with students in classes 

During this week, all teachers will review with students in their classes information on required and available courses in specific content areas/departments.

January 7, 2026

 

  • Course registration overview and graduation requirements review for students through Wellness Block 2 

 

Students will receive a printed copy of the registration cards to share with parents and plan for course selection. Synergy will open for online course registration in StudentVUE.

January 8, 2026

 

  • Electives and AP/IB Courses Fair for students during lunch (first and second floor hallways)

Students are encouraged to join in the halls at lunch to meet teachers of electives and advanced courses and learn more about these classes.

January 14, 2026

 

  • Course registration and selection of classes for the 2026-27 school year in Synergy during Wellness Block 3
  • Incoming (Rising 9th Grade) Parent Meeting at 6pm in the auditorium

Students may register in Synergy on their own starting January 7th, but will have an opportunity to register during Wellness Block 3. Course Registration must be completed in Synergy no later than January 14th!

  • Counselors meet with students individually via Science classes to discuss courses, graduation requirements, testing, SSL hours needed, etc., and to answer remaining questions.

Students should have completed course registration in Synergy by this time and have questions ready to ask of counselors. Counselors will review course registration and graduation requirements with students, individually.

IB Program Students: Rising seniors have already met with the IB Coordinator in December to plan their courses. Rising juniors will meet with the IB Coordinator in January to do the same.
