Richard Montgomery High School

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Richard Montgomery High School will offer the SAT free of charge to all Grade 11 students as part of MCPS’ SAT School Day. This SAT testing day is an opportunity for all members of the Class of 2027 to take the SAT during the school day at their local high school.The Make-up Day for the SAT is Wednesday, March 18. We will have a modified bell schedule on March 11 to accommodate testing. 

Members of Grades 9, 10, and 12 will participate in an extended Rocket Refresh period and will be expected to access their coursework until testing is completed and classes start for the day. Students will not need to report to their first period until 12:00 p.m. Buses will run on a regular schedule, so please consider your child’s transportation needs on this day. Some seniors may be invited to complete credit recovery work or student service learning opportunities.

From 7:45-11:05 am:

• 9th and 12th Graders should report to the cafeteria
• 10th Graders should report to Room 165 on the World Language hallway
• 11th Graders should report to their assigned testing locations.

Schedule for 3/11/26:  

*11th Grade SAT test takers will get an email this week with additional testing logistics and their testing location.

*Students with extended time will follow a different testing schedule. Students should bring lunch or can order lunch from the cafeteria in advance.
