Center Programs and Local Signature Programs Showcase Materials

The evening included information about both our Center Programs and the Local Signature Programs and time for incoming students and parents to explore the classrooms, meeting students and staff from QO.  We invite you to explore the information below and review anything that was shared during the evening.

General Materials:

Rigorous Courses for All Students

We have over twenty-five Advanced Placement and college level courses open to all students at QOHS. These courses, in a variety of different subject areas, are available to students enrolled in all of the Center and Local Signature Programs. For example, a student enrolled in the Biotechnology Studies Center Program could take AP Modern World History to meet one of three social studies requirements or AP BC Calculus for one of the four math requirements for graduation.

Planning is KEY

There are so many options available to students and planning is a key component to choosing the option the best fits your goals.  This guide outlines what a general four-year schedule might look like for a student, how they can complete a single Local Signature Program and multiple Local Signature programs.  We encourage you to use this as a guide to planning out all four years.  If you have additional questions about planning out Local Signature Programs, please contact Colleen Adams.  If you have additional questions about Center Programs and schedules, please contact Dillon Grenham.

Local Signature Programs

Open to all students whose home school is Quince Orchard HS.  This document has a basic outline of each of the Local Signature Programs including how Art, Music, and Theatre compare to their Center Program counterparts.  Students "apply" to these programs by registering for courses during the normal registration timeframe in December and January.

Center Programs

Open to all students in the Central North Region.  All students MUST apply to these programs through ParentVue, including students whose homeschool is Quince Orchard HS.
