National Science Honor Society will be hosting a pot-luck lunch on Thursday, September 27th during lunch in Room 198 for all current and new members. A sign-up genius has been created for students to participate. Please see Ms. Ro with questions.


The Science Olympiad Team will be holding a general interest meeting this Friday, September 21 in room 195 during lunch. If you love science and competing as part of a team, please come by to get more information.

The first meeting of the Association of Jewish Students will take place on Friday, September 21 at lunch in room 6.

Students please remember to visit the Writing Lab. The lab is located in room 20 and is open Monday through Friday during lunch. You can get help with writing assignments, get advice on college essays, or find a quiet place to work. Ms. Ayers is there to help. Make sure to stop in.

Fellowship for Christian Athletes club (FCA) meets Fridays at lunch in Rm. 41. We have games, food, and lessons. See you Friday

On Friday, September 21, 2018, during lunch in room 33A, there will be the first meeting for the Rukundo club!
Rukundo, which means love, focuses on fundraising money and supporting schools in impoverished communities in Uganda! Once again Friday at lunch in room 33A! See you there!

The club fair will be on Friday, October 5th during lunch (11:20-11:58) on the green space outside of the gym next to the science building. Clubs will need to register via the google form found on the grade level classroom. Clubs that don't register for a spot will not be able to participate. The club fair is your chance to promote your club and recruit new members. You may want to have visuals, sign-up sheets, information sheets - Be creative and make sure your club shines. Sign-ups will close on Tuesday, October

The PHS Model UN Team has been ranked in the top 150 high schools by Best Delegate. If you would like to join our growing team, we welcome new students. We hold team meetings on Mondays at 2:35 and again at 3:30, after 8th period. We also hold a meeting on Tuesdays during lunch. We hope to see you at our next meeting!

The Montgomery County Board of Elections is seeking registered voters to serve as election workers at polling places for the Gubernatorial General Election to be held on November 6, 2018.
Students 16 years old or older are eligible to register to vote and serve as election poll workers. Each minor must demonstrate that they meet all qualifications for registration in the State. Students serving as election workers may choose to earn 25 SSL credits in lieu of the stipend.

Are you interested in art? Do you like to draw or paint? Join art club! This year, we’ll paint murals, participate in competitions, have art exhibitions, and more! The first meeting is on Wednesday, September 26th during lunch in room 48. Come and join art club!

Attention, seniors! Make-up senior portraits by Victor O’Neill Studios will be held in the auditorium on MONDAY, September 24th, 2018 from 3 to 8 pm. If you were unable to attend a photo session over the summer, you should plan to attend this make-up as it will be the LAST TIME our professional photographers will visit the school for senior portraits. There is no charge for Yearbook photos, so you should plan on having your portrait taken even if you choose not to purchase photos.

A reminder to seniors and juniors to register for your college visits in Naviance, then bring your agenda book to room 10 to get a pass at least three days before the visit. Please check Naviance frequently. We are still getting calls from reps that want to visit PHS.
