Students, there are some improvements in the safety and security of PHS we want to make you aware of. On Monday, Nov. 19th, the entry doors between the old and new building will be locked.
The front door to the new science building will be unlocked at 7am to allow student entry and then locked at 7:45 when exterior doors are locked.
A security team member will be stationed between the buildings between classes, to ensure that students can transition between the buildings. If you are late to class, you will need to go to the front office entrance and have a staff member escort you to the new building.
The front door to the science building will be unlocked during lunch so you can meet with teachers if needed.
Students who need to enter the new building due to late arrival, appointments in the old building, returning from the health room, etc. will be escorted from the main office or guidance office by a person with a key-card.
This is also a reminder that you should not open external doors for people who are knocking. Anyone who needs to enter either building should enter through the front doors that are monitored by security or the main office. The safety of our campus is a responsibility that all of us share.
The yearbook club will be meeting today during lunch in room 60.
