Vital Eighth Grade Choice Information

Students who attend Northwood or get into Northwood are eligible to participate in MC2 if they meet the criteria to participate in dual enrollment. There is no lottery for DCC students at Northwood and no cap on the number who choose to pursue an associate degree. The MC2 lottery process and cap is for the 32 out of area seats.

DCC students participating in the choice process need to make Northwood their #1 choice to have the best chance to come to Northwood.

Please see the http://tinyurl.com/northwoodmc2017Slideshow for updated information following the DCC Night presentation, October 18, 2018.

Eighth grade students who live within DCC boundaries should complete the interest form below to help your counselors with articulation and to enable MCPS and Montgomery College to plan to provide classes for an accurate number of students.

In a new opportunity, students who live in the following high school clusters: Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Winston Churchill, Walter Johnson, Richard Montgomery, Rockville, Sherwood, Walt Whitman, Thomas S. Wootton, Northeast Consortium may also apply on the form to pursue the Middle College program at Northwood.
